China's Yukun Liu won gold in the 50m three-position rifle at the Paris Games

He scored a total of 463.6 points at Chateauroux Shooting Center

World record holder Yukun Liu (China) won gold in the 50 meters rifle from three positions for men in the sports shooting tournament at the Olympic Games in Paris on Thursday, BTA reported.

Liu scored a total of 463.6 points at the Chateauroux Shooting Center in the competition, in which athletes take aim at a 50-meter target in prone, kneeling and standing positions.

It was China's third gold in four men's shooting events in the French capital.

2022 World Champion Serhiy Kulish (Ukraine) won the silver medal with 462.3 points. This is his second silver after air rifle at the Rio 2016 Games.

India's Swapnil Kusale took the bronze with 451.4 points to bring home a third medal for his country in the sports shooting tournament in Paris.
