The express train from Sofia to Burgas is running with a great delay. The composition left the capital at 06.15 and the delay is at least 5 hours. The reason is a diverted route through Plovdiv station.

The express train left the capital at 06:15 in the morning and was scheduled to arrive in Burgas at 12:10. The railway carrier reports that the delay is 5 astronomical hours, but a reference in the section “Current information” at 17:10 it showed that the train had not yet arrived. At the same time, a passenger in the train reported to BTA that the train was near Zimnitsa and the delay was more than five hours.
Earlier in the morning, a message appeared on the official website of the BDZ that traffic had been restored, but it was later removed.
Earlier today, NKŽI reported to BTA that one of the wagons derailed between the stations in the area, which interferes with the normal movement of trains, remains to be moved. With a message, NKJI informed that the movement of passenger and fast trains at the Mirkovo-Dolno Kamartsi interstation was restored at 1:23 p.m.
