An enraged passenger without a ticket attacked the driver on the train to Panagyurishte. A check of police records showed that the man had multiple registrations and convictions.

A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated against him for causing minor bodily harm due to hooliganism.

By decree of the prosecutor overseeing the case from the District Prosecutor's Office – Plovdiv, the Panagyurite was brought in as an accused and taken into custody for a period of up to 72 hours, reported the ODMVR-Plovdiv.

About 9:10 a.m. on Sunday, the Second RU received information about a violation of public order on the train from Plovdiv to Panagyurishte.

According to the preliminary data, before the departure of the train from the Central Station, a 31-year-old Panagyurian got on and lay down on several seats.

The conductor made a remark to him, then warned him to leave the train, as it turned out he didn't have a ticket.

„However, the passenger got angry and tried to argue with the employee himself, followed him and illegally entered the cabin after him, where he hit the driver”, the Ministry of the Interior adds.
