Mount Slavyanka continues to burn

There is no change in the village of Senokos at the moment

On the Bulgarian-Greek border in Mount Slavyanka, the fire activity continues from the east, reported the Regional Administration in Blagoevgrad. At the moment there is no danger for the population in the nearby village of Goleshevo. As a precaution, an additional clearing is being made near the village with a 50-ton tracked bulldozer, noted novini.bg.

From the west, new outbreaks are coming from Greece, which further complicates the localization of the fire. Tomorrow, the work of the employees of the fire department, the Southwest State Enterprise (SSU), the Regional Directorate of Forestry, the military and volunteers will continue. Starting tomorrow, the two planes from Spain, which are already in Bulgaria, will be included, the administration also informs.

About 100 employees of the Southwest State Enterprise (SZDP), the fire services and the military were today on the ground to extinguish the fire on the Bulgarian-Greek border in Slavyanka mountain, told journalists earlier in the day in the Sandan village of Petrovo the director of the YuZDP Eng. Valentin Chambov.

The Ministry of Defense announced today that a total of 39 military personnel with eight pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire in the area of Goleshevo and Petrovo on the Bulgarian-Greek border.

There is currently no change in the village of Senokos. The perimeter continues to be traversed and additional stripes are made. There are smoldering fires, but they are in the interior of the field and they are being worked on by the fire department, together with the SZDP and the military.
