The better we take care of the maintenance of the car, the less problems we will have at the annual MOT. This was stated to journalists by the official Minister of Transport and Communications, Georgi Gvozdeikov.
He pointed out that Deputy Minister Dimitar Nedyalkov and the new director of the Executive Agency “Automotive Administration” Damian Voynovski, where to inform the deputies about the possible solutions to the case with the technical examinations.
“ There is no problem and no changes in the requirements. We connected all points and appliances to a single system. In a few words – we digitized the process and made the quality system work. This is not a problem at all because the statistics we have shown show that the system works. The percentage of cars that fail to pass an annual MOT is not high. However, we can apply flexibility as I have prioritized road safety on two main priorities," he pointed out.
According to him, the first is a direct danger, where cars with a problem with the braking system, the suspension, the steering system fall. This affects directly because it is a prerequisite for an accident. Cars with such remarks are classified as dangerous.
"The big problem is the exhaust gases of every car. We can define this problem as an indirect danger, as it is related to the protection of the environment. These cars can easily be assigned to another category and given a longer period of up to 30 days. During this period, any driver will be able to remove him”, pointed out Georgi Gvozdeikov.
