State of emergency was announced on the territory of Harmanli municipality by order of the regional governor of Haskovo, Mehmed Ataman.
At around 3:20 p.m., a large fire broke out on the territory of Harmanli municipality. Vineyards, dry grasses, areas not suitable for forestry are burning. This was reported by the press center of Haskovo regional administration.
Due to the high temperatures, the fire is growing, it cannot be controlled and there is a possibility that it will affect populated areas as well as enter the territory of the Stara Zagora region.
There is a danger of damaging people's health, as well as a danger of causing significant damage to forests, agricultural plantations, residential and commercial buildings and property of citizens and business entities.
