A crew from the 24th air base in Krumovo with a Mi-17 helicopter and 21 military personnel from the Center for training specialists in Sliven joined the actions of the firefighters for extinguishing the fire. The area where the fire broke out is part of the "Blue Stones" Nature Park. The municipality of Sliven provided drinking water for the participants in extinguishing the fire.

Teams have been sent to the top of the hill where the large cross is located. Two forestry vehicles were also involved in the extinguishing.
