Today the National Council of the PP "We continue the change" gave a mandate to the Executive Council to negotiate for participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections in a coalition with "Democratic Bulgaria". This was announced by the formation's press center, BTA reported.
The National Council of "Continuing the Change" discussed and accepted as possible the model of government with a non-party prime minister with high public confidence who recognizes the priorities of the party.
New early parliamentary elections are coming after no agreement was reached on the formation of a cabinet within the framework of the 50th National Assembly. The upcoming early vote will be the sixth after the regular parliamentary election on April 4, 2021. The last early election was on June 9 this year.
On July 1, Rumen Radev handed the first mandate to the candidate for Prime Minister, nominated by GERB-SDS - Rosen Zhelyazkov, who immediately proposed the structure and composition of the Council of Ministers. Two days later, the parliament did not elect Rosen Zhelyazkov as prime minister. On July 22, from “We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria” received and returned immediately unfulfilled the second exploratory mandate to form a government. On August 5, “There is such a people” (ITN) returned to the president the unfulfilled third and last mandate to form a government.
