28 drunk and 11 drugged drivers were caught by the police during actions in the country during the past 24 hours. This is reported by the Ministry of the Interior, quoted by BNR.
Since the start of the campaign, 12,432 motor vehicles have been checked. 14,411 drivers and passengers were checked.
3,620 slips and 676 acts for established administrative violations were drawn up.
An emphasis in the police operation is the prevention of driving by drivers who have consumed alcohol, narcotic substances or their analogues. Of the 28 drunk drivers caught in the last 24 hours, 19 were driving after consuming alcohol from 0.5 to 1, 2 per thousand, and 9 managed with over 1.2 per thousand. Two refused testing.
11 drivers were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances and their analogues, and two others refused to be tested.
