The President meets with the possible candidates for Prime Ministers

Efforts of the head of state to create an official cabinet continue

Today, in continuation of the constitutional procedure for the appointment of an interim government, the head of state Rumen Radev will hold meetings and talks with those defined in art. 99, para. 5 of the Constitution, persons who can be appointed acting Prime Minister. This was announced by the presidency, quoted by dariknews.bg.

We remind you that on Monday Radev stated that he would not sign the decree for a caretaker government, proposed by the nominee for caretaker prime minister, Gorica Grancharova– Kozhareva, because of the presence of Kalin Stoyanov, and the early parliamentary elections are postponed until after October 20.

The President called on the National Assembly to fulfill its obligations in filling out the “domestic book” in order to be able to fulfill its obligations under Art. 99 of the Constitution on the establishment of a caretaker government. Of the ten potential candidates for Prime Minister, two are vacant, two – with an expired mandate, all four representatives of the Bulgarian National Bank have complications related to European legislation, the president pointed out.
