On August 27, during a planned repair works, the roof of the hall of the New Bulgarian University collapsed. In the accident, one of the workers of the contractor company was injured, who was admitted for treatment at the UMBALSM "N. I. Pirogov". The NBU will take part in the care of his recovery, according to a release from the press center of the higher school.
It adds that New Bulgarian University expresses its deep gratitude for the quick response, empathy and professionalism shown to the teams of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), "Fire and Emergency Safety", "Emergency Services". and the Metropolitan Municipality, who participated in the rescue operation and ensured the safety of people on the university territory, to the university employees who assisted the teams, as well as to the firefighter who brought his personal dog, trained to search for victims.
The NBU also expresses special gratitude to the teams of UMBALSM "N. I. Pirogov", who performed all the necessary life-saving activities.
