The situation in the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) is extremely complex and complicated, both legally and politically point of view. This opinion was expressed by the former Minister of Defense Nikolay Svinarov in the studio of "Denyat ON AIR".

"This is a serious internal attack that started a long time ago, and this internal attack is another division in Bulgarian political life. Including in a party in which no one expected such a division", he commented to Bulgaria ON AIR.
The guest noted that all parties in Bulgaria are leadership-based, which means that the party cannot exist without its leader.

"One party cannot have two leaders. The system of honorary chairman and co-chairmen of the party cannot work. In Bulgaria, the parties are leader-based to such an extent that if the leader is gone, the party is gone. If a leader leaves politics, the party is no longer present anywhere," said the former Minister of Defense.
According to him, the political consequences of these internal conflicts are obvious and felt both within the party and in the wider political context.

"Everyone talks about power and elections. It's obviously about money. Power is also a means to money. The problem is hardly in power, hardly anyone becomes a very prominent Bulgarian politician. There are unsettled property interests," Svinarov believes.

He was categorical: "From a political point of view, the tragedy is complete".
