Banks not to charge a fee when withdrawing money from pension and salary, provide for changes in the Law on Payment Systems and Payment Services submitted for public discussion, writes pariteni.bg

According to the changes, when funds from labor remuneration, pension, assistance and benefits under social security are received and stored on a payment account for basic operations insurance and social assistance, scholarships for pupils, students and doctoral students and the interest thereon, no fee will be charged for regular account servicing.

Furthermore, the customer of such account will be entitled to a total of up to three credit transfers, including through the servicing bank's online banking systems, and a total of up to three cash withdrawals from the servicing bank's ATM or POS terminal device, for which no fees are charged.

However, the rule will not apply to cash withdrawals through ATM and POS terminal devices of payment service providers other than the servicing bank, as well as to cash withdrawals at a cash desk in a bank office.

The user will have to declare to the bank serving him the type of funds received, and if the circumstances change, he will have to notify the bank, it is also written in the changes.
