KNSB proposes that the maximum insurance income for 2025 be increased from 3,750 to 4,000 BGN. The proposal is in connection with the upcoming discussions of the budget for next year. It is about an increase with the same percentage, by which the average annual salary for the country increases. This is what Asya Goneva, the trade union expert and deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National Social Security Institute, told the BNR.
The KNSB is also demanding an increase in the pension ceiling by 11 percent - by how much all other pensions under the Swiss rule were increased from July 1 of this year. This means that the maximum pension will reach 3,770, instead of the current 3,400 BGN.
"The maximum pension practically already we have to think about its elimination or at least what we do from July 1st every year, in the same way, with the same step to move up the maximum pension, because detention causes a negative attitude on the part of the people who are affected on the one hand, and on the other hand, young people with high incomes who are provided with maximum social security income would like to see another perspective, one that is much more - a generous pension at the end of their working career", Goneva said.
