In no way will I accept that the caretaker government be charged with functions that are not provided for by law. This was stated by caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev before the start of the regular cabinet meeting, BTA reports.

The role of the executive power and the Council of Ministers is to the extent that it must provide material and technical support for the process - transportation of election papers, ballots, ensuring a normal election process, said the acting prime minister.

Glavchev emphasized that the difference between the official and the regular government is that the official governments have the obligation to hold elections, otherwise according to the Constitution they have the same powers as the regular ones. However, they have one more obligation - to hold fair elections, only within the framework provided by the legislator in the Electoral Code. It is very clearly indicated who has the leading role in conducting elections, and these are the election commissions and respectively the Central Election Commission, Dimitar Glavchev pointed out. He said that he would insist that the functions be carried out as described in the Electoral Code.

Everything has already started, we held some elections well, nobody complained about them, Glavchev pointed out. I think that we will conduct them even better, added the prime minister. He recalled that Minister Rosen Karadimov was designated as a coordinator who will ensure that everything proceeds as planned, with neither excess of authority nor failure to fulfill obligations. We continue to deal with solving the problems of the citizens, assured the official minister Dimitar Glavchev.
