Vice President Iliana Yotova will be in Barcelona, Spain, on September 6 and 7, the press office of the head of state announced, quoted by BTA.
Today, the Vice President will open events dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the “Primer of Various Teachings” to Dr. Peter Beron – round table and exhibition “The Unknown “Fish Primer”.
In 1824, Dr. Peter Beron published his “Primer with various teachings“ (also known as “The Fish Primer“) – the first textbook written in colloquial language, with secular content.
The events are organized by the University of Library Science and Information Technologies, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the National Library “St. St. Cyril and Methodius", the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Barcelona and the Association of Bulgarians in Barcelona “St. Georgi“. The events are hosted by the Royal Artistic Circle in Barcelona.
Later, together with the Bulgarian community, the vice president will celebrate the Day of the Unification of the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia. “The event will be followed by informal talks and a “glass of wine”. All Bulgarian citizens who wish to participate in the meeting with the vice president are welcome”, announced our Consulate General in Barcelona.
On Saturday, Iliana Yotova will open the school year at the Bulgarian Sunday School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius“.
