Former President Rosen Plevneliev expressed critical comments regarding the tragic incident with the L-39 ZA fighter Graf Ignatievo Air Base, in which two pilots died. In the Nova TV studio, Plevneliev emphasized that the incident is serious and requires answers from the responsible institutions.
He pointed out that every flight in the military is carefully planned and insisted that the head of the Air Force (Air Force) should resign after such an event. According to him, attempts are being made to cover up the case and journalists have been instructed to delete video footage related to the incident. I expect less of a show in the Bulgarian army, he emphasized, quoted by news.bg.
Plevneliev also criticized the political situation in the country. The parties are behaving inappropriately, Plevneliev believes. He stated that President Rumen Radev will attack any political party that gains power with the aim of splitting the political spectrum and taking power in two years. The former president defined the behavior of the political parties as inadequate and emphasized that Bulgaria has fallen into the grip of populism.
Furthermore, Plevneliev expressed concern about the influence of Vladimir Putin's model on Bulgaria and added that the DPS represents a corporate structure whose internal crisis provides an opportunity for other political parties.

FACTS recalls: Over the past 35 years, the Bulgarian political class has been slowly and with sadistic methodical destruction of the Bulgarian Army and, in particular, the Bulgarian Air Force.
Bulgarian politicians have no right to judge anyone but themselves for Bulgarian soldiers who died in accidents.
