Ivancheva is serving a six-year effective sentence for corruption in the Sliven prison, but is currently placed in the specialized hospital for the treatment of prisoners at the Lovech prison due to her deteriorating health, which is why she is also requesting early release from prison. So far, Ivancheva has served 4 years. and 9 months of the sentence.
This is the second time she has applied for early release from prison due to health problems, the first one from last year was rejected.
