From „Yes, Bulgaria!“ we assess the decision of "Save Sofia" as hasty and politically unjustified.
Taking into account the need to significantly improve the dialogue between the administration and the municipal council, we believe that the difficulties are due not to strategic differences between the participants in the coalition, but to the inherited institutional collapse and the presence of an alternative economic majority in the Sofia Municipal Council.
This is stated in the official position of "Yes, Bulgaria!", after earlier in the day from "Save Sofia" officially announced that they are withdrawing their political trust from the mayor of the capital, Vasil Terziev, and leaving the local coalition PP-DB-SS. “Save Sofia” should seek approaches for constructive behavior in the complex political situation. We support the efforts of Mayor Terziev to fight corruption and for an institutional approach to the problems of Sofia. We expect from him and his team to accelerate the actions to implement the management program with which we received the trust of the voters.
„Yes, Bulgaria!“ will continue to be a bridge for dialogue and finding agreement and support in the fragmented municipal council, in the name of fulfilling our commitments to the people of Sofia.
