Meteo Balkans: Unprecedented heat is frying us at the beginning of May

Expectations are still uncertain, but the trend is clear

The beginning of May promises to be not only long-awaited due to the many holidays, but also unusually warm, according to the first weather forecasts. Data from the European medium-term forecast model, cited by Meteo Balkans, indicate that temperatures could reach 34°C in some areas by May 8, 2025.

Drought instead of spring rain?

According to the forecast, the first ten days of May will be unusually dry for this period of the year – no significant precipitation in the coming days, and sunny weather will prevail.

"Expectations are still uncertain, but the trend is clear – very warm and dry weather for the beginning of the month. We will monitor the development!", reports Meteo Balkans.

This is good news for anyone planning trips or vacations during the long holiday period, but experts warn that such a prolonged drought could pose a risk of fires and moisture shortages for farmers.
