From 9 a.m. on May 13 to May 23, the asphalt pavement will be repaired in two sections of the Sofia Ring Road.
One is the road connection of the Northern Expressway with the Ring Road in the direction of Plovdiv at the "Botevgradsko Shosse" road junction. The route is planned to be repaired, and traffic will flow in one lane.
The second section is from the "Botevgradsko Shosse" junction to the "Tsarigradsko Shosse" junction. Damage to the pavement will be repaired in it. Gradually, traffic will be limited to the active and middle lanes and will move to the lane where work is not being done. Traffic will be regulated by signalmen and road signs.
From May 12 to 15, traffic will be gradually restricted at night in the section from the Bankya roundabout to the intersection for “Slivnitsa“ Blvd. intersection on the Sofia Ring Road for pavement repairs. In the period from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., traffic will be stopped in individual lanes, with cars moving into lanes where work is not being done. Traffic will be regulated by road signs and signalmen. The planned repair work in the 3-kilometer section will be carried out at night, when traffic is lighter.
The “Road Infrastructure“ Agency appeals to drivers to travel carefully, to strictly follow the posted road signs, to keep a safe distance and not to undertake risky overtaking that endangers the safety of other travelers.
