A man beat up his 23-year-old ex-girlfriend in Belene and is at large, without charge or detention. That's why he alerted the victim and her relatives, who accuse the local police department of inaction. The couple has been separated for about 4 months, but according to the victim, the harassment is constant.

Kristin Kozhuharova went out with a friend to a bar on Friday evening, after leaving later, she ran into her ex-boyfriend outside, who started insulting her. According to her, she slapped him because she was unable to bear the insults and then he hit her back with punches and a kick in the face after she fell to the ground.
According to the victim's mother, Snezha Dinova, the attacker was detained for 2-3 hours.
The friend, who was with the 23-year-old woman, explains that when she went to the emergency room, it turned out that the injuries were serious.
The Ministry of Interior explained to NOVA that the attacker was detained for up to 24 hours, but did not specify for how long. The case is under investigation.
