Another accident occurred on the pipeline route in Varna Lake, BNT reported.
Varna Municipality informs that the malfunction was detected last night, after carrying out activities to prepare for raising the water surface and moving a section of the temporary pipeline into the trench of the permanent route.
The digging of the pipe under the bottom of the lake is being carried out by the company “Hydroremont“. The work of the “Asparuhovo“ sewer pumping station has been restored after the completion of the activities to move the temporary pipeline. In the late afternoon, the pressure in the pipeline dropped sharply, which is an indication of a failure on the route. The project contractor has notified “ViK Varna“ of all its actions.
Teams of the project contractor are ready to begin emergency repairs as soon as weather conditions allow. The environmental inspection and the Basin Directorate in Varna have been notified of the accident. Samples have been taken from the accident site. The results are expected to be released next week.
