The 68th General Assembly of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) elected Acad. Hristo Grigorov as the chairman of the organization.
Dr. Valentin Peev – presenter of the first session of the 68th General Assembly announced the convincing result and officially congratulated Acad. Hristo Grigorov.
In his emotional address after the election, Acad. Hristo Grigorov said:
"Thank you for trusting me again. In the next four years, we will uphold what we have built together – to be independent, to be financially secure, and most importantly – to be able to effectively help people. I love you! Thank you once again.“
He emphasized that the next four years will be years of unity.
The assembly decided that the Bulgarian Red Cross will have three vice-chairmen. The following were elected: Prof. Zdravko Marinov, Dr. Valentin Peev, Stoycho Stoychev.
A new National Council of the Bulgarian Red Cross was also elected, which will consist of 14 members and will lead the organization in the next term: Acad. Hristo Grigorov – Chairman of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Prof. Zdravko Marinov – Deputy Chairman, Dr. Valentin Peev – Deputy Chairman, Stoycho Stoychev – Deputy Chairman, Boyan Todorov, Prof. Todor Cherkezov, Dr. Hristo Paunov, Dr. Nikolay Chobanov, Dr. Mimi Kubateva, Dr. Tanya Petrova, Steli Dzhambazova – Chairman of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Prof. Nikolay Izov – Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Alexander Veskov – Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Yulian Todorov and Alise Murtezova, announced the organization on Facebook.
