Borisov thought he could "punish" Sofia residents. He greatly underestimated the situation. The city responded firmly to him and today, in the face of the furious gaze of the finance minister (who the day before yesterday claimed that they owed Sofia nothing in terms of transport), Borisov capitulated to the strategy of blackmailing the citizens of the capital and holding them hostage for the fact that Sofia is not governed by a GERB mayor.

This is what Ivaylo Mirchev wrote on "Facebook".

What happened reinforces the need for long-term reforms in Sofia's transport. The resignations of the boards and managers of these companies should be on the desk of the chairman of the SOS today - elected without competition, abdicated from the entire conversation, these party appointees from the economic majority in the SOS should leave immediately and real competitions should be held to select professionals to manage Sofia's transport.
