A specialized police operation "Graduates" is being conducted in the Dobrich region, bTV reported.
The goal of the operation is to prevent accidents during the prom days. All police teams are on the ground.
“Our tasks are to ensure public order around the establishments where the graduates are and the other task, the main one, is road injuries and identifying drivers of motor vehicles who have consumed alcohol or drugs“, Radoslav Minkov, junior expert in the First Regional Directorate, told bTV.
A traffic police team is monitoring for speeding.
“I have been here for 40 minutes, 20 cars have been filmed, two of which are striking, over 90 km. in a settlement, with a permitted 50. I can't say what the fine will be, because in case of a repeated violation the fine will be doubled“, added Radoslav Minkov.
The minimum fine that violators will still pay is 400 leva.
Around midnight the party continues in the discos. Senior police officer Dimitar Dimitrov is also there with the sniffer dog Marty.
„Our task is to guard the establishments in Dobrich. And so we will make it until the morning, to send the graduates off alive and well and to have no accidents“, said Senior Commissioner Dimitar Dimitrov.
„There are no serious violations, excluding signals for disturbing the night silence, but they are understandable considering today and the holiday that the graduates have“, he summarized Stoyan Stoyanov, spokesman for the ODMVR-Dobrich. The action lasts three days.
