Lyudmila Ilieva: The next president must be a patriot, a European and a democrat

A forum will be held on June 16 to start the conversation about the common candidacy

On June 16, under the auspices of the DSB, a forum will be held to start the conversation about the common candidacy of the democratic community for president. “Convinced patriot, European, democrat”. Such a profile of the common candidacy that will try to win the elections was outlined by Lyudmila Ilieva, a deputy from the PP-DB in the program “The Day Live” on NOVA NEWS.

She emphasized that the emphasis is not on politicians, but on the individuals who have given the image of democracy in Bulgaria. About 60 people have been invited, including Ivan Kostov, Ekaterina Mihaylova, Vesselin Metodiev, and the goal of the forum is to be ”a first step towards creating a center for reason that will be useful”, Ilieva explained. The MP's opinion is that internal elections are one of the possible mechanisms, because they would give an impetus to engage and arouse curiosity among Bulgarian citizens.

On the topic of the discussed Personal Bankruptcy Law, she explained that the idea is that when a Bulgarian citizen decides to cover his or her obligations, there should be a procedure to do so. This will be done with an application to the court, which will describe the income and property that the payer owns. If proceedings are opened, a receiver is appointed, and the debtor retains a subsistence minimum of income, heating funds and items for use. According to Lyudmila Ilieva, the 10-year absolute statute of limitations and the Private Bankruptcy Law should not exist in parallel.
