A new party following the philosophy of Ahmed Dogan will be created in a short time. This was announced in the program "The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov" by the former mayor of Kardzhali and former deputy chairman of the MRF Hasan Azis. According to him, the name of the new formation will include the words - "rights and freedoms".
He refused to comment specifically on the departure of Dzhevdet Chakarov as co-chairman of the MRF and his transition to Delyan Peevski's formation "DPS - New Beginning". The former mayor of Kardzhali did not say whether the party was aware of Chakarov's intentions and whether more people from the formation were about to secede.
"Time is working in our favor and people are calmer, and I am sure, especially after our meeting yesterday, there will now be greater calm and people will get what they have always wanted. People have always wanted to have a normal party, to have a party that is developing, that has its place in socio-political life. A party that already meets the expectations of the people," commented Hasan Azis.
When asked if Dzhevdet Chakarov is a traitor, Hasan Azis replied that this is what people who withdraw and do not justify the vote of confidence are called:
"The power of law is clearly still, and to this day, being displaced by the right of force. The question is whether we are late in launching this initiative committee to create a new party, both yes and no. I think that after 35 years of a political party, we needed this deep catharsis. People expect the new party to have rights and freedoms, and this will be there," the former mayor of Kardzhali explained.
He added that 50% of the people in the created initiative committee are young.
