Head of state Rumen Radev spoke about a "political alternative" that would oppose the "conquest of the country by this oligarchic model". His comment came against the backdrop of the protests announced across the country against the introduction of the euro in our country, reports "Focus".
The president made his statement from Lyaskovets, where he took part in the sheep breeders' assembly.
Asked how it is possible to limit the "black hole that is swallowing Bulgarian democracy", he replied: "The way is a new political alternative to oppose the conquest of the country by this oligarchic model, the pressure and obsession of business, which would restore democracy and give a new democratic perspective to Bulgaria".
The head of state was also asked if he was ready to head such a political force after the end of his mandate, to which he replied: "This will come from the people who want their voice to be heard and to whom the authorities do not pay attention".
