I expect to announce good news within 1 month that we are keeping 100% of the resources under the rehabilitation program. This was stated in "Speak Now" by the Deputy Minister of Regional Development Dora Yankova:
"The PVP should be reported in June next year. According to our calculations, we are ready to complete about 67% of these funds. We are working extremely actively. We expect 67% absorption of the funds in one year and an understanding from the EC to keep all the funds".
After July-August, there will be an explanatory campaign for the application for renovation, she said.
"Under the PVU, I manage a program that is the largest - about a billion and two hundred from the European Union, our VAT and a small share for 288 projects. We cooked the program with a delay, the majority is about 756 blocks, 100% renovated free of charge. The remaining 282, yes, there was a little noise in the system as a comment. Of these, 238 declared project proposals that they are ready to implement. We have started an active dialogue with the municipalities".
Yankova explained that during the first stage of renovation, an energy audit of the buildings was carried out before the renovation itself began, while now an audit will also be carried out after the completion of the projects.
Within a few weeks, the task set by Rosen Zhelyazkov - to get the toll system working - will be fulfilled, promised Dora Yankova. What depends on the MRDPW is for this system to be well organized and to allow for additional data.
"I was in parliament when the toll system was starting to be implemented. There was a lot of criticism, trust and distrust, the fact is that it is useful, it provides a lot of information, digitalization and technical capabilities allow it to extract a lot of information," commented the deputy minister.
