"This is an obituary for Bulgaria, although it is a bit early to comment on whether the burial of the Bulgarian currency will actually happen, because the convergence reports are only one step in the process, each member state is about to speak out, there are votes, for some they are formal, but for us from "Vazrazhdane" they are not, so I sent letters to all presidents and prime ministers of the member states of the European Union, in which I describe to them the real situation in our country - the real inflation, the situation with the budget, the attitudes of Bulgarian citizens, our desire for a referendum. We ask them not to allow Bulgaria to be illegally brought into the eurozone," he said in "The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov" on BNT the leader of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov.
According to him, Bulgaria does not meet the conditions, the Bulgarian people do not want this and there is false data on inflation, including the budget deficit.
"There is no democracy in Bulgaria, there is an occupation. From January 1, if Bulgaria is brought into the eurozone, the Bulgarian parliamentarians cannot vote on a budget that has not previously been approved by the European Central Bank. We cannot add even 1 penny to it, we can only take money out of the budget - that is, we can cut salaries and pensions, but we cannot increase them. We will not have our money. Our goal is to overthrow the government. I do not know if the PP-DB will manage to collect the necessary signatures - we will vote for the resignation of this government," commented Kostadinov.
