Sympathizers of the “Vazrazhdane“ party gathered in front of the BNB. They declared themselves in support of the lev and against the euro, Nova TV reported.

Its official start was at 12:00. People gathered on the yellow paving stones in the space between the Bulgarian National Bank and the parliament.

They once again declared themselves in support of the Bulgarian lev and against the adoption of the euro. They also insisted on a referendum - a public consultation on whether to change the official currency in our country.

Against this background, the leader of “Vazrazhdane” Kostadinov wrote on social media that he had sent 52 letters to the foreign members of the European Union calling on them to veto Bulgaria's entry into the eurozone.

Movement in the center of Sofia was blocked on Sunday at noon. The police presence was increased. The demonstrators said that they wanted to keep the Bulgarian lev because it is the national currency and, according to them, there would be no Bulgaria without it.
