A Bulgarian international is among CSKA's transfer targets. There are preliminary talks with Simeon Petrov, who is a footballer for the Hungarian Fehervar, Topsport reported, referring to a publication in "Trud".

The French-born central defender played for two relegated teams last season.

Petrov started it in the Polish Slask. In the winter, he went on loan to Fehervar. Both teams were relegated from the elite. Petrov was one of the national team players who played in the last two controls against Cyprus and Greece.

The interest in the defender reinforces the information of "Tema Sport" about an almost certain outgoing transfer of Lumbard Delova. At CSKA's first training session, the new coach Dushan Kerkez did not deny a possible sale of the Kosovar. He was among the most stable in the failed red season. Liam Cooper and Adrian Lapeña also play in the center of CSKA's defense, with the Scot's performances in particular infuriating the fans last campaign.

Meanwhile, the transfer of the defender from Bistrica - Teodor Ivanov, to the Reds is also still quite likely.

At the meeting with the media at the base, Kerkez admitted that it is difficult to take quality additions, after CSKA did not qualify for the European tournaments. "Every day with the scouts we look at players - said the Bosnian coach. - I expect new ones this week. When we leave for the camp in Slovenia, 70-80 percent of the selection should be completed."

CSKA has not yet taken a new one for the first team. Jonathan Lindseth, Stanislav Shopov and Marcelino Careasso left as free agents.

"I see quality in the current CSKA squad - continued Kerkez. - The problem is the results of the last 2 years, when the team did not qualify for Europe. Things have to be done step by step. If there are new ones, they have to raise the level. I know that CSKA doesn't have time."

Central defender Brian Cordoba was not present at CSKA's first official training session of the new season, Topsport reported

He has not yet passed the mandatory medical and functional tests, and is most likely not in Bulgaria.

It is very likely that the club will look for a way to part with the 25-year-old Colombian, who played mainly for the double in the Second League in the spring.

Alexander Tomas announced that he would not rely on the defender after he joined with a huge delay for the winter training camp in Turkey.

After that, however, the coach "squatted" and Cordoba was on the bench in many matches. He does not fit into CSKA's long-term plans and his absence yesterday suggests that he has most likely already played his last match in the red shirt.
