The President will participate in the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Association "SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria"

A chess session will be held as part of the event, during which the Bulgarian chess player Nurgyul Salimova will play simultaneously on 35 boards

President Rumen Radev will participate in the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Association "SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria" from 2:00 p.m. in the village of Dren, Radomir municipality, the press secretariat of the head of state announced.

A chess session will be held as part of the event, during which the Bulgarian chess player Nurgyul Salimova will play simultaneously on 35 boards. In addition to the head of state, talented children and young people, as well as representatives of local and regional government, prominent journalists, athletes, musicians and actors will participate in the chess session.

The Association “SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria“ is the first civil human rights organization in the country, which since 1990 has been providing alternative care for children at risk, ensuring a healthy environment for their development and growth. The association is part of SOS Children's Villages International, which cares for 2,500,000 children in 137 countries around the world.

A month ago, the first edition of the “Careers Fair“ was held at SOS Children's Village Dren. The goal was for young people aged between 14 and 24 from the districts of Pernik, Kyustendil and Blagoevgrad to learn about the opportunities for future professional development.
