Police operation in Varna: 30 minors caught in discos and bars

With the start of the active summer season, police checks in discos and bars along the seafront also began. There was a large-scale operation on the night before Saturday on the coastal promenade in Varna, Nova TV reports. The focus of the checks was on minors and whether they were allowed into establishments after midnight. Of course, checks were also made to see whether they were being sold alcohol, as well as to see whether drugs were being distributed. The action involved officers from the General Directorate of the “National Police”, as well as the local structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. And the results were not long in coming, as a number of violations were identified in the first hours of the checks.
An hour after midnight, the coastal promenade in Varna was surrounded by police. They were mainly checking for minors in the establishments, and the customers were not surprised by the presence of the uniformed officers.
Minutes after the start of the action, people under 18 and unaccompanied were identified in the first establishment. However, in addition to receipts, there were also fines. "For the first violation, the fine is from 300 to 500 leva. For the second violation, from 500 to 800 leva", emphasized Chief Inspector Dimitrov.

During the inspection, the police also found a separate commercial establishment from the establishments, where alcohol is sold to adolescents. "It will be sanctioned. There, the fine is from 2,000 to 4,000 leva", emphasized the uniformed officer.

Early in the morning, it became clear how many minors were identified. "So far, we have checked 187 people, with over 30 identified minors and minors", said Chief Inspector Dimitrov.

Most of the customers approved of the midnight checks. And the Ministry of Interior announced that the actions will continue until the end of the summer season.
