A serious accident in the center of Plovdiv. A car hit three pedestrians this evening near a public transport stop located in the tunnel under the Central Post Office on "Gladstone" Street, BNT reported.
The impact sent the bus stop bench flying several meters away.
According to preliminary data from the police, the driver is a 35-year-old man. He climbed onto the sidewalk, as a result of which he hit three pedestrians. One of them was transported to the hospital for examination.
The scene of the accident has been sealed off until the medical results are released, an examination is pending. Traffic is being regulated by police officers.
The driver's breathalyzer test is negative, he will also be tested for drug use.
