Acceptance Commission inspects Mezdra - Botevgrad road on Monday

If the project is approved, this week it will be much faster to get from Botevgrad to Vratsa than the previous hour and a half

A state acceptance commission will inspect the Mezdra - Botevgrad road tomorrow, BTA reports, quoting the mayor of Vratsa Kalin Kamenov.

In his words, if the project is approved, this means that this week it will be much faster to get from Botevgrad to Vratsa than the previous hour and a half, subject to the restrictions of 90 km/h, and in tunnels - 80 km/h.

"The entire route will be two-lane, two-way roads, with the exception of the 6-kilometer section from km 174 to km 180 from the village of Lyutidol to the village of Kopianovets, where the speed limit will be 40 km/h and will be implemented in one two-way lane," wrote Kalin Kamenov.

At the beginning of the month, Regional Minister Ivan Ivanov inspected the progress of construction and announced that the deadline for launching the section - the end of June, for temporary traffic will be met. He did not commit to when the entire route will be finally ready, because there are still projects being considered, and no construction permits have been issued for certain sections where landslides were detected.
