The co-chairman of "Continuing the change-Democratic Bulgaria" Nikolay Denkov stated that Kiril Petkov's resignation is an assumption of political responsibility.
„This resignation could not have been given. However, the reason for which it was given should show that we are different from the others”, Denkov also said.
He added that the party has never talked about public procurement. Denkov stated that the coalition did not exert pressure on the district mayors who resigned last week.
„A proposal can easily be presented as pressure – in this particular case, I think that is exactly what it is about”, said Nikolay Denkov.
