The corruption scandal in the Sofia Municipality has electoral dimensions and hits us right at the core of one of our main policies - anti-corruption. This was stated in “Face to Face“ by the MP from “Continue the Change“ Yavor Bozhankov. According to him, however, this is not the end of the party, but urgent measures are needed.

“In “Continue the Change“ there are many young people with sufficient qualities who are able to overcome this. Kiril Petkov's resignation is a worthy act, but it is far from sufficient, because no one has any doubt that these decisions were not made by one person, and one person does not bear all the responsibility“ commented the MP.

According to him, specific goals will be set at the party's congress in September. He said that there were similar recordings in GERB, but no resignations followed.
“The recordings “expire“, because this is a controlled release of recordings. If we assume that these recordings were made in the appropriate order, this means that our security services have been breached and we cannot trust them to protect us from Russian hybrid attacks and malicious actions of other services“, Bozhankov pointed out.

The MP was categorical thatthere is a serious problem in the “Security“ sector.

“I have had conversations with the party leadership that after that “assembly“ deep and systemic changes are needed, and if they do not make them in time, there will come a time when it will be too late and there will be a high price“, he added.
Bozhankov stated that his efforts have not led to a good result and have “hated“ him: “I suggested to them after losing the elections that they resign or seek a vote of confidence. The personnel policy is wrong and it causes deep damage to the coalition“.
