The Anti-Corruption Commission is working on an operation in Varna. The actions are under the supervision of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, the state prosecution announced.
A preliminary court order has been issued for the investigators' actions.
More details on the investigation are expected to be released on Wednesday.
PP-DB MP Bogdan Bogdanov wrote on his Facebook profile that the operation was in the municipality of the seaside city and that "Mayor Kotsev was detained".
Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev from „Continuing the Change“ was taken for questioning today, July 8, after officers of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) entered the municipality, Actualno.com learned from its sources.
