Days before the opening of the repaired section, the BUS lane quietly disappears in several sections and is broken to such an extent that it becomes unusable. The main argument of Save Sofia to support the expansion of the route was precisely the BUS lane as a prerequisite for better public transport.

The actions of the municipality are completely contrary to all strategic documents of Sofia and violate the design regulation, which states that BUS lanes must be continuous and connected, including at intersections. It is not clear whether the new project is legal, because it did not go through the coordination regime (unlike the project for the Patriarch!).
This improvisation must stop! We call on Vasil Terziev to immediately order the return of the BUS lane and to state - does he intend to comply with the election program, in which public transport is elevated to a pedestal? If the answer is yes, then he must urgently appoint deputy mayors for transport and construction who are professionals and ready to follow a clear line for sustainable mobility in every renovation in Sofia.
