The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has added a new circumstance to the charges brought against Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev and the other three defendants - municipal councilors Nikolay Stefanov and Yordan Kateliev and businessman Ivaylo Marinov.
The investigators claim that the opposing side in this case should involve a fifth person - a member of parliament, whose name and role are not specified, Blagomir Kotsev's lawyer - Milen Ralchev reported to Radio Varna.
However, he explained that the involvement of a member of parliament is possible only after lifting his immunity, and this has not been requested and has not been implemented at the moment.
According to Ralchev, the case should be returned to the Varna District Court and heard in the seaside capital.
It is not possible to say who the member of parliament is, Ralchev pointed out.
The decision of the Sofia City Court on the measures to prevent the four accused from being detained is awaited.
