None of the eight candidates for the position gathered the necessary three votes "for" from the members of the media regulator, BNR specified.
As in the previous two meetings held earlier in the day, the current head of the public television Emil Koshlukov received one vote in his support from Galina Georgieva, and Venelin Petkov - two - from Prolet Velkova and from the chairwoman of the Bulgarian National Television Commission Simona Veleva.
According to the Radio and Television Act, until the election of a new director general, Emil Koshlukov will continue to be the head of BNT.
