Alexander Nikolov: The contract with "Botas" is a textbook example of targeted sabotage

"You can't eat 3 fish in the Bosphorus and come back with a 13-year contract", the former Minister of Energy was outraged

People have become for sale. They lack the basic values of not breaking under pressure. The energy system is financially traceable. In every commercial contract, there is fulfillment and non-fulfillment. Bulgaria was an active party to the contract with “Gazprom” and has complied with every letter, point and paragraph, which is extremely difficult. This was stated by the former Minister of Energy Alexander Nikolov in “Lice v lice” on bTV, quoted by novini.bg

A rather interesting question is why a specific figure was mentioned in the contract for lost profits, who calculated it. The damage caused to Bulgaria by the counterparty's failure to fulfill the contract. The management of the state energy sector should not be influenced by the flag of the counterparty. I remind you that a country declared us an enemy, he explained.

In connection with the contract with “Botas” Nikolov said: “When a person signs and then says that he did not sign and this contract leads to a loss of 65 million, surely the problem still remains in the management of the contract? The reason for terminating it is that there is a lot of financial data. There is no theory in energy, there are results, there is an effect for one side and an effect for the other. Bulgaria is losing horribly. The problem is not that we are losing, but that we have been losing horribly from day one. The problem is that there is no coordination – EWRC's decision on whether these volumes are necessary, there is no possibility of delivering this volume in terms of physical capacity, there is no estimate of the price, which is more than three times higher than even with the same counterparty”.
"You can't eat 3 fish on the Bosphorus and come back with a 13-year contract", he was indignant.
The other question is why they only remembered now? So far, the effect of the contract has not been tested. The fact that the invoices in “Bulgargaz” are not accounted for, means that the EWRC does not accept the real costs incurred by “Bulgargaz”, that is, the costs for heating and energy are not real, said the former Minister of Energy.

In his words, this is a textbook example of targeted sabotage.

Bulgaria's interest in being a rich country with a capable and well-paid population is Bulgaria's. When Bulgaria loses – someone else wins, emphasized Alexander Nikolov.
