It is not news that in Bulgaria the administration of justice is under the influence of forces that are not those that should control the will of prosecutors, investigators, judges. How can a person give testimony, and the next day declare that they have exerted pressure on him? All this is another story that the administration of justice in Bulgaria is in the hands of politicians. This is very bad for all of us. This was stated by political scientist Slavi Vassilev in the program “More from the Day” on BNT, quoted by novini.bg.

Judges and prosecutors must be independent. It is increasingly clear to people that the repressive bodies are not independent, but subordinate to people who are not authorized to do so, commented political analyst Georgi Harizanov.

I support all protests, without necessarily sharing their causes and demands. There are protests where there are proud societies and free countries. There are no protests in North Korea, he added.

I wonder what they used to pressure the witness against Blagomir Kotsev, said Harizanov. The political analyst turned to politicians: “Dear politicians, do not give in to pressure! You betray yourself, you betray your comrades, you betray your principles, you betray your voters. There is life after the pressure and it is very nice when a person can walk the streets with their heads held high – I tell you this from personal experience”.
I hope that the civil pressure will lead to more responsible behavior of politicians and, respectively, – better governance, the political analyst pointed out.

According to Slavi Vassilev, it is very difficult to assume that there will suddenly be civil energy. Energy can be born if the Bulgarian sees some real outrage, he believes and said that he hopes the president will wave his fist again.

Harizanov said that after Kiril Petkov's resignation, Radev remains the only potentially serious figure in the opposition if he decides to enter politics. At the moment, there are no leaders and serious political leaders, and therefore there are no well-structured, serious protests.
