A temporary change in traffic on the „Hemus“ and „Struma“ highways due to ongoing maintenance activities, the „Road Infrastructure“ Agency announced.
On July 23, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the demolition of slopes against falling rocks between the 41st and 42nd km of the „Hemus“ highway, in the direction of Varna, traffic will be restricted on the active lanes. During the work on the highway, traffic will move to the overtaking lane, dariknews.bg indicated.
From 10 a.m. on July 23 to 10 a.m. on July 25 /Friday/ traffic through the “Vitinya“ tunnel on the “Hemus“ motorway will be bidirectional in the Varna tube. The change in traffic organization is due to repair work on the facility.
From 9 a.m. on July 23 to 9 a.m. on July 25 /Friday/ traffic will be limited on both active lanes at the 13th km of the Northern Expressway in the direction of the “Hemus“ motorway. The traffic stop is necessary to carry out repairs to the expansion joints of the bridge facility over the Iskar River at the 13th km. During the work on the facility, vehicles will move to the overtaking lane.
On July 23 and July 24 /Thursday/ from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. traffic from 36th km to 56th km of the Struma Motorway in the direction of Blagoevgrad will be carried out only in the active lane. The temporary organization of traffic is for conducting geodetic surveys in connection with the upcoming repair of the asphalt pavement of the section in the Kyustendil district.
On July 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., traffic in the Blatino tunnel on the highway in the direction of Blagoevgrad will be in one lane due to the implementation of activities to increase fire safety - installation of hydrants. The same work will be carried out in the pipe in the direction of Sofia for the period from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Activities for the installation of hydrants will be carried out on Thursday in the Kocherinovo tunnel, at the 82nd km of the Struma Motorway. The facility in the direction of Blagoevgrad will be working from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., with traffic operating in one lane. In the direction of Sofia, traffic will be in one lane from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The “Road Infrastructure“ Agency appeals to drivers to drive carefully, to observe traffic rules and speed limits, and not to undertake risky overtaking that endangers the safety of all other travelers.
