The item on the creation of the "Shop for the People" as a state-owned commercial company has been withdrawn by the Minister of Agriculture from the agenda of today's government meeting.
It will become clear later for what reason, BNR specified.
The idea was "Shop for the People" to be under the umbrella of the Ministry of Agriculture, and in the retail outlets, goods and products of first necessity, produced in Bulgaria, to be sold with a minimum markup of 10%.
The state-owned chain of stores is being created after this was announced in this year's budget. An agreement is also about to be signed with the Central Cooperative Union, which has locations throughout the country and in small towns where people do not have easy access to large retail chains.
