“If it were not for the volunteers to get us out, we would have burned alive in our houses”. This was told to me by a man from Bezden. These real Bulgarians risk their health and lives to help a person in trouble. In floods and landslides, where the elements are raging - they are there. They are not equipped. They are not provided with protective equipment. They throw themselves against the fiery element in flip-flops and with their bare hands. Against the backdrop of their selflessness, the heartlessness and carelessness of the falsely elected deputies contrasts glaringly. This was stated by the leader of "Unruly Bulgaria" Kornelia Ninova and added:
I have submitted the Volunteering Law to the parliament four times and GERB always rejected it. In February, it was adopted on first reading. It has been sitting on hold for half a year - they do not want to move it to second reading. During this time, they have adopted a bunch of anti-people, anti-social and lobbying laws for their personal benefit or that of their companies, and they do not care at all about the people.
They increase their salaries, hide behind immunities, take vacations 3 times, line up regulators and commissions, and seize the state.
That is why I say that the resignation of this government and the destruction of this clientelistic, thieving and false model of governance are mandatory."
