Ivaylo Shotev, PP: We will vote against the closure of the Anti-Corruption Commission

"It is extremely important for us that the Anti-Corruption Commission starts functioning normally. The problem is not in the existence of the Anti-Corruption Commission. It is in the way it is elected and the way it functions," commented the MP from "Promyanata"

The PP will vote against the closure of the Anti-Corruption Commission. This was announced in the program “Offensive” on NOVA NEWS by the MP from PP-DB Ivaylo Shotev. He described the commission as a bat in the hands of the leadership.
“It is extremely important for us that the Anti-Corruption Commission starts functioning normally. The problem is not in the existence of the Anti-Corruption Commission. It is in the way it is elected and the way it functions&rdquo, he explained.

Arrests, protests and questions surrounding Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev

„We have no problem with our mayors being investigated, we only have a problem with them being investigated. We were in Varna at the demonstrations. There, on two fronts, people are feeling great dissatisfaction. First, through administrative measures they are trying to replace their vote. They are trying to put another person in Blagomir Kotsev's place as mayor. They are trying to provoke new elections in court. This is irritating”, he explained.

According to him, it is very important to assume political responsibility. And he gave the resignation of Kiril Petkov as an example. “I believe that this action of his is a precedent in Bulgarian politics and should be given as a standard”, added Shotev.

He defined the legislation in our country as selective.

According to him, the PP is more alive than ever.

“We still have to hold a general meeting, have a new leadership. These are processes that are just beginning. Kiril Petkov has not participated so far. I do not expect him to return to the leadership”, added Shotev.
