An excavator-loader and two cars crashed in the Sunny Beach resort, BNT reported
The accident occurred at around 8:00 p.m. last night. For reasons that have not yet been determined, a traffic accident occurred between an excavator-loader driven by a 68-year-old man, a passenger car with a Ukrainian registration, driven by a 52-year-old Ukrainian citizen, and a car with a Sofia registration, driven by a 30-year-old Bulgarian woman.
The three drivers were tested for alcohol use, with the excavator driver giving a positive result. The breathalyzer showed 1.67 per mille of alcohol.
The 52-year-old Ukrainian woman and her passenger were taken to hospital. There is no information yet about the injuries sustained.
The driver of the heavy truck has been detained for up to 24 hours, and the excavator has been seized. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
